My goal as the Downtown Batman is to help those in need who cannot help themselves, and to inspire others to do the same. I keep my identity a secret because I do not want any of the accolades that come from my mission, and because I want the public to see themselves in me and identify with me. To see that they can help others like I can, without superpowers, riches, or costumes.
Starting in 2021, I began in Greenville, South Carolina, by helping the homeless, giving food, water, and clothes to any who needed them. Operating in this way for three years, I came to know my community better and vice versa. In 2025, I expanded my scope of operations and began attending activism rallies and protests held by the Greenville Progressive Coalition, fighting for human rights and speaking up for the voiceless. In September 2025, I began training the Carolina Captain America to become a Real-Life Superhero, which was the first domino towards creating Community Heroes.
